URT Touring - Challenging and delighting U.S. audiences!

Dear cast,
Thank you for teaching us all a little it more about the courageous people involved in the Underground Railroad. Your acting brought us all so much of your heart and spirit. We are all very fortunate to have been treated to a super show. You have taught us so much about your journey, Harriett, and many others. Thank you for that. You put us in a place where we never were. You gave us the opportunity to walk in other people's shoes, to appreciate our lives today.
Bravo!

This letter from the teachers at Woodward Parkway Elementary School is a great example of the accolades we have been receiving all season as Are You Ready My Sister? toured the U.S. Students and teachers have expressed their delight in the cast, the music, set, story and the overall experience. URT would like to give many thanks to Ramona Alexander, Charlotte Dore and Andrew Periale for doing such a tremendous job on the road - we could not have done it without you!

Many URT productions toured this past season, including The Firebird, Till Eulenspiegel's Merry Pranks, Carnival of the Animals and How Do You Spell Hope? The 2004-2005 season closed after 87 performances in twelve states and forty-two venues including Performing Arts Centers, schools, museums and our very own residence, the Arlington Center for the Arts. Thanks to Debra Wise, Will Cabell, Andrew Periale and the many others who made our tours successful!

Barely has the past season ended and we are off again! The 2005-2006 season begins with a showcase of How Do You Spell Hope? on September 15th in Avon, CT. We are already booked for performances in twelve states and eighteen venues, including the JFK Library in Boston. We look forward to another triumphant year as we explore new territory and engage our audiences with theater that challenges and delights, informs and celebrate.
