The Firebird: Join us for an open dress rehearsal before our NJ Symphony Orchestra tour! The Arlington Center for the Arts is hosting an open dress rehearsal of URT's original production of The Firebird on Friday, April 15, 2005 at 7:00 PM. This rehearsal will be with previously taped orchestral accompaniment and is a terrific family-friendly way to cultivate an appreciation of symphony music in your household! The Firebird has toured both nationally and internationally over the past 18 years, enjoying performances at Lincoln Center with the Little Orchestra Society and locally at Symphony Hall with the Boston Symphony Pops. Please call the Arlington Center for the Arts for tickets and more information at 781-648-8220. Public Art ACTS URT's collaboration with the Cambridge Arts Council will start staging street theater in dialogue with public art starting in June. Short interactive performances are scheduled each month through October in four different Cambridge neighborhoods. Sites vary widely, including a new reading garden next to the Valente Public Library, the Inman Square fire station mural, a humorous installation at the Area 4 Teen Center, and Multicultural Manifestoes in the middle of Central Square - a celebration of that diverse community's dreams. To be mailed a schedule, send address to: Lillian Hsu, Cambridge Public Art Program, lHsu@cambridgema.gov |
